The Transformation of Space: When the Hair Salon Became a Catwalk
Many of you ask us how we managed to transform a workplace into a space for spectacle. The truth is that we did not do it alone. For the event, we had the vision to transform our hair salon into a professional catwalk, and this required allies.
The transformation process began on Friday, January 30, 2026. With the invaluable help of Andreas Tryfonas and “Epta Technon Topos”, the space began to change shape. Andreas provided us with the know-how, the necessary equipment and the lights that would highlight every detail of the bridal hairstyles for 2026 that we would present. It was moving to see the familiar environment of the hair salon acquire another, theatrical dimension.
By Saturday afternoon, we were ready. The lights were set up, the catwalk awaited the models and the atmosphere was electrifying. But the preparation didn’t stop at the walls of our hair salon.

The Preparation of Models: Shine from Head to Toe
On the same day, the action was also moved outside our venue. Our beautiful models successively visited Nails Boutique in Triklino, Corfu. There, the girls from Nails Boutique took care of the ends of our models, giving the final finish required for a complete look. After all, when we talk about bridal hairstyle trends for 2026, the look must be impeccable overall, and well-groomed nails are the detail that makes the difference so that they shine with beauty during the event at Scissors by Effi.

Catering and Music: Setting the Scene
While the models were getting ready, a creative fever was raging in the salon near the center of Corfu. Nikos Ziniatis and the Dolce team took on the task of preparing the space for the catering. They didn’t just bring food; they brought aesthetics. They installed an exceptional, modern and aesthetically beautiful buffet structure in our space, which harmoniously tied in with the rest of the salon’s style.
At the same time, Evymnos – known for its live opera and classical music concerts at weddings and receptions – installed a piano in the venue. This piano was not just decorative. It was intended to musically accompany one of the most important moments of the evening: the on-stage, live transformation of two hairstyles by Efi Loukanari and Mariza Gioka. The idea was for the music to “embrace” the art of hairdressing, creating a sensory experience for our guests.

Saturday Morning: The Hour of Creation
On Saturday morning, the arrival of the models marked the start of the final stretch. Eleven gorgeous girls, ready to give their best! From 11:30 in the morning, the venue was filled with energy.
The team of Nasos Grammenos (Thang Cosmetics) and Xanthi Rapsomaniki came to our salon to do the makeup of our models. It is incredible how the right makeup can highlight the bridal hairstyles for 2026, emphasizing the features and giving the necessary shine.
So, from 11:30, the blow dryers were on fire! Our hairdressers’ brushes and Make Up Artists’ brushes were working non-stop. The noise of the hair dryers, the smells of the styling products and the creative intensity composed the soundtrack of the preparation to transform our models for the afternoon catwalk.

The Final Touches: Flowers, Sound and Dresses
During the day, Mr. Rizos Christos from Rizos Garden and his associates came to the salon in Corfu and worked their magic. They decorated the entrance and the runway with beautiful floral arrangements, bringing the freshness and colors of nature into our space.
At the same time, Spyros and Lefteris Molinari from Elegant DJ’s Wedding & More set up the sound equipment. Music is the A and Z of a fashion show, and we knew that Lefteris Molinari would set the perfect rhythm for the event.
And of course, what is a fashion show without the clothes? Lisanne Marie Bosch brought backstage the gorgeous evening gowns and wedding dresses that our models would wear. The fabrics, the lace, the textures… everything was carefully selected to showcase the bridal hairstyles for 2026 that we had designed.

The Time of the Event
Shortly after 5:00 PM, everything was ready. Nikos Ziniatis and Dolce filled the buffet with delicious treats for the guests to enjoy after the show.
At 5:30 PM, the first guests began to arrive, and the turnout was large and moving. The hair salon-catwalk gradually filled with wonderful smiles and people who honored us with their presence, proving that Scissors by Effi is more than just a hair salon.
At 6:15 PM, Effi Loukanari welcomed the guests who had flooded both the interior of the salon and the courtyard. A few minutes later, the magic began. The catwalk opened with 10 beautiful evening gowns by Lisanne Marie Bosch, under the wonderful musical choices of Elegant DJ’s Wedding & More.
The flashes flashed! Rapsomanikis Thanasis had started the photographic coverage, while Yannis Dimitris Tepelidis recorded every moment on video, covering our event with professional photographic and television material.

The Highlight of the Evening: Live Transformation on Stage
Then, something groundbreaking followed. Efi informed the audience about the on-stage, live hairstyle change of two models. The goal was to show how an evening formal hairstyle can be transformed into a stunning bridal hairstyle. The stage was set, the equipment was brought on stage and Efi Loukanari together with Mariza Gioka took the stage.
At that moment, the music from the DJs turned down. Its place was taken by the magical melodies of the piano played by the professional pianist from Evymnos, Kelli Tusmanoff. The notes musically embraced the process of transformation, creating a mystical atmosphere.
In front of the guests, we showcased the top bridal hairstyle trends for 2026. We saw the transformation of a Hollywood Wave and a romantic hairstyle into a boho hairstyle and a fine bun. Once the transformation was complete, the two models walked the runway presenting the final result, demonstrating the versatility and creativity of our team.

After the two models descended, the main part began: the bridal catwalk. Now, 11 models walked holding extremely beautiful and impressive bouquets from Rizos Garden.
