The Beginning: Pie, Birthdays and New Beginnings
2025 has arrived with a bang! We barely had time to recover from the festive season of ’24 and immediately organized the cutting of our salon’s cake. It was a warm, family moment for our team. We wished health and creativity, without imagining at the time how “prophetic” these wishes would be.
A few days later, we celebrated our first birthday as Scissors by Effi with our new look! The emotion was great. Seeing your vision grow and be embraced by the world is the greatest gift. We blew out our candle, promising ourselves that we will continue to offer high-quality services, highlighting the beauty of every woman who crosses our threshold.
Preparing for the Grand Prizes
Spring brought with it an air of creativity and… creative anxiety! We decided to take the big step and participate in the Estetica Hair Awards competition, the leading hairdressing institution in Greece.
The category we chose was “Bridal Look Of The Year”. You knew how much we love bridal hairstyles, right? We wanted to create something that exuded the aristocratic finesse of Corfu.
For the implementation and photography of the hairstyles, we had the honor of collaborating with Markos Efthymiou. His guidance as Hair Coach & Art Director was highly professional and decisive. He helped us unlock our imagination and perfect our techniques.

Education Never Stops
To remain a top hair salon in Corfu, education is the only way. We never rest. In 2025, we invested significantly in knowledge.
Initially, our team attended an excellent Schwarzkopf seminar here on our island. Staying informed about new products and trends is essential to be able to offer you the best possible result.

The Great Vindication: 3rd Place at the Estetica Hair Awards 2025
And we reach the moment that took our breath away. The night of the Estetica Hair Awards. Our hearts were beating fast. It was our first participation in such a big competition, among dozens of renowned professionals from all over Greece and Cyprus.
When we heard the name “Scissors by Effi” for 3rd place in the Bridal Look Of The Year category, our joy was indescribable! It was a huge honor for us, but also for Corfu. As a proud local business, we felt like we were representing our island at the top of Greek hairdressing.

The energy behind the scenes was explosive. Local and international models were left in our hands and the result was magical. It is wonderful to see your creations walking the catwalk and uniquely complementing the clothing choices. This experience confirmed once again that our team can cope with the highest demands, under time pressure, always maintaining its smile and professionalism.
